This is my fitness/progress blog. I will keep my real name private, as I wish to remain anonymous, but I suppose everyone here will need to know me by something... Red. Please, call me Red. (Psst, I have red hair.)
I am not interested in "thinspo" blogs, I am interested in "fitspo" blogs.
I want to see muscle tone, not bones.
I am 25 years old, and 5ft 3in tall.
Measurements/Sizes:
Current: Bra 36G, Pants 11/12, Shirts vary from Medium to Extra Large.
Goal: 34D (or smaller, please; that was my bra size when I was 129lbs, so I'm not sure it will get any lower), size 3/4 pants again, Medium or Small shirts would be nice.
CURRENT WEIGHT: 190lbs
Starting weight: 190lbs (5/27/11)
Highest weight: 195lbs (2007)
Goal 1: 160lbs
Goal 2: 150lbs - Reward: Starting my tattoo.
Goal 3: 140lbs
Final Goal: 130lbs - Lean, obvious muscle tone, and able to RUN again without pain for miles.
Reward for FINAL GOAL: My manfriend has promised this reward to me once I reach my goal! ...A tropical, beach-y vacation someplace for a week!!! Someplace where I can wear my bikinis again (that I've kept, wishing deep down I'll get back into them) and lay in the sun. I also plan to scuba dive, sky dive, and hopefully model for a local adult/clothing store for Burning Man.
Optional Reward for FINAL GOAL: Breast reduction + lift. I've always wanted it done, and I'd be very happy with a C-cup instead of my massive breasts. I was always a D-cup when I was in decent shape throughout high school and college, and now that I'm heavier, I'm a DD. Miserable! Looking forward to the "perfect" breasts that don't cause back pains! (and this is MY idea of perfect, not society's perfect - I'm going for a size that still fits my frame, but isn't going to cause health problems anymore).
If I lose more, as long as I'm healthy, fit, and muscular, I am okay with that.
(Note: Yes, I want to slim down and lose FAT/weight, but I definitely want to be FIT, if not flat out RIPPED... but not female body builder status. That's just not for me.)
Catching Elephant is a theme by Andy Taylor
After years of having to live with my parents in their house, and not being able to afford to be on my own, things got REALLY hairy and bad a few months ago - so I said screw it, and decided I’d move out even if I didn’t find a job.
Well, I found a job. It pays like crap, but it’s FUN and doesn’t stress me out. It sucks that I did the same thing two years ago for $2 more, but whatever. I moved out. I have an apartment that I can barely afford; it takes ALL of my tips every week and every cent of my paychecks to cover bills (not even food), but I’m still out of the house. I barely afford food and meat is expensive, so I’m mostly vegetarian right now. I’m okay with that.
Overall, life is okay. I’m surprisingly relaxed and calm, I eat 5 times a day, and two of those are healthy snacks - either almonds, or a fruit, or veggies and hummus.
I stepped on the scale this morning (I should really be getting ready for work right now) and was surprised to find that I weigh175lbstoday. I should measure myself, but I don’t have measuring tape in my place. If I can swing a few bucks, I’ll pick one up at Target, but what I DO know just from wearing clothes:
- All of my clothes are falling off, specifically my pants.
- My bras feel looser, even if they’re tightened most of the way.
- A shirt with gathered sleeves was really snug on my bicep when I bought it the first week of April. Now, there’s a TINY gap between my skin and the hem of the shirt. It still pulls a bit when I make extreme movements or lift really heavy things (hi, muscles!), but still…it fits better.
- My button-up shirts for work are fitting across my bust a little better.
I just…….what?
175lbs>!?!?!?!?!!?!?!
NEAT!
So. I don’t have internet in my new apartment, an my computer isn’t even here yet…
But I’m walking Almost 3 or four times a day because I take my puppy for a walk. And I just took a 2 mile walk. Now, I’m having a breakfast of a free range egg, spinach, tomatoes, bell peppers, cottage cheese, and fresh salsa.
I think that living on my own is going to be very beneficial for my health.

Tofu: It makes smoothies taste really creamy and adds extra protein!
Cinnamon: It adds a subtle sweetness and tastes so good bonus, it can help stabilize your blood sugar to keep you feeling full longer.
Avocado: Surprising ingredient? Maybe, but it’s really good, and you will love how…
Cardio Planks to strengthen your shoulders and core!

Kellie Davis. I freakin love that woman. And for the record, she has 2 kids. oh mon dieu.
Dude. Best glute building routine ever.
This is in response to someone I unfollowed the other day who told a girl not to do squats because they “make big leg muscles” and to stick to yoga/pilates/running.

I’ve been MIA the past week or so. Moving, new job, etc etc. I haven’t gone to the gym in about two weeks now, due to moving and also due to getting a pretty larger tattoo that prevented me from wearing a bra for a while.
I’ll be back when things settle down. Still sticking to my diet (although yesterday I had a hefty amount of chocolate - thank you, period + moving + stress + exhaustion!), and I think that painting for 5 days in a row, moving boxes in and out of storage, then in and out of my car, then up a few steps… yeah, I think that’s enough of a work out.
It’s way too fucking early. I can’t think. HOWEVER, I wanted to stop in and say that I’m alive, just ridiculously busy.
